was located near Latitude 5.2 degrees North and Longitude

139.8 degrees East. 17W is moving south at 12 mph. It is expected

to make a turn toward the west with a decrease in forward speed

through Wednesday.



Maximum sustained winds remain at 30 mph. 17W is forecast to

weaken through tonight.
