DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 100 AM PST (0900 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Ramon was located near latitude 14.4 North, longitude 123.4 West. Ramon is moving toward the west near 5 mph (7 km/h). A slow westward to west-northwestward motion is expected to continue during the next day or so. Maximum sustained winds have decreased to near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Weakening is forecast and Ramon is expected to degenerate into a remnant low later today. The remnant low is forecast to dissipate by late Monday. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 45 miles (75 km) from the center.
