SITUATION At 0000 UTC a Tropical Low was centred within 15 nautical miles of latitude seventeen decimal seven south (17.7S) longitude one hundred and ten decimal two east (110.2E) Recent movement : west at 5 knots Maximum winds : 30 knots Central pressure: 999 hPa The low is expected to develop into a tropical cyclone in the next 6 to 12 hours. AREA AFFECTED Maximum winds to 30 knots near the centre increasing to 45 knots by 0000 UTC 21 March. FORECAST From 0600 UTC 20 March winds above 34 knots with rough seas and moderate swell within 60 nautical miles in SE quadrant and within 60 nautical miles in SW quadrant From 1200 UTC 20 March winds above 34 knots with rough seas and moderate swell within 40 nautical miles in NE quadrant and within 60 nautical miles in SE quadrant and within 60 nautical miles in SW quadrant and within 40 nautical miles in NW quadrant.
