GALE WARNING FOR NORTHERN AREA

SITUATION
At 0600 UTC a Tropical Low was centred within 10 nautical miles of
 latitude thirteen decimal zero south (13.0S)
 longitude one hundred and thirty six decimal nine east (136.9E)
Recent movement : southeast at 8 knots
Maximum winds   : 40 knots
Central pressure: 995 hPa
The low is expected to develop into a tropical cyclone in the next 18 to 24
hours.

AREA AFFECTED
Within 100 nautical miles in NE quadrant
    and within 100 nautical miles in NW quadrant.
extending to within 60 nautical miles in the SW and SE quadrants at 0000 UTC 16
March.

FORECAST
Maximum winds to 40 knots near the centre.

Winds above 34 knots within 100 nautical miles in NE quadrant
   and within 100 nautical miles in NW quadrant 
extending to within 60 nautical miles in the SW and SE quadrants at 0000 UTC 16
March, with rough to very rough seas and moderate swell.
