The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a



* Tornado Warning for...

  Northeastern Cameron Parish in southwestern Louisiana...

  South central Jefferson Davis Parish in southwestern Louisiana...

  Southeastern Calcasieu Parish in southwestern Louisiana...



* Until 530 PM CDT.



* At 456 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado

  was located near Hacketts Corner, or 7 miles southeast of Lake

  Charles Regional Airport, moving east at 45 mph.



  HAZARD...Tornado.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.



  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 

           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 

           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 

           damage is likely.



* This dangerous storm will be near...

  Lacassine National Wildlife Refuge, Gibbstown, and Hacketts Corner 

  around 500 PM CDT.

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a

sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile
