The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a



* Tornado Warning for...

  Southwestern West Baton Rouge Parish in southeastern Louisiana...

  Southeastern Pointe Coupee Parish in southeastern Louisiana...

  Northwestern Iberville Parish in southeastern Louisiana...



* Until 715 PM CDT.



* At 636 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado

  was located near Atchafalaya Welcome Center, or 10 miles northeast

  of Catahoula, moving northeast at 60 mph.



  HAZARD...Tornado.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.



  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 

           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 

           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 

           damage is likely.



* This dangerous storm will be near...

  Ramah around 640 PM CDT.

  Rosedale and Grosse Tete around 645 PM CDT.



This includes Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 128 and

145.

floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a

mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
