The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has issued a



* Tornado Warning for...

  Southwestern Geneva County in southeastern Alabama...

  North central Walton County in the Panhandle of Florida...

  Northwestern Holmes County in the Panhandle of Florida...



* Until 500 PM CDT.



* At 425 PM CDT, a tornado producing storm was located near Florala,

  moving southeast at 35 mph.



  HAZARD...Damaging tornado and quarter size hail.



  SOURCE...Radar confirmed tornado.



  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 

           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 

           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 

           damage is likely.



* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of

  southwestern Geneva, north central Walton and northwestern Holmes

  Counties, including the following locations... Gaskin, Leonia,

  Pleasant Hill, Center Ridge, Darlington, Sweetgum Head, Royals

  Crossroads, Glendale, Caney Creek, and Lakewood.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a

basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy

building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in

a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect

yourself from flying debris.
