The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a



* Tornado Warning for...

  Southern Beaver County in western Pennsylvania...

  Northwestern Washington County in southwestern Pennsylvania...

  Northwestern Allegheny County in southwestern Pennsylvania...

  Hancock County in northern West Virginia...



* Until 200 AM EDT.



* At 125 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado

  was located near Shippingport, or 8 miles southeast of East

  Liverpool, moving east at 35 mph.



  HAZARD...Tornado.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.



  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 

           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 

           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 

           damage is likely.



* This dangerous storm will be near...

  Moon Township around 135 AM EDT.

  Ambridge, Sewickley, Imperial, and Leetsdale around 140 AM EDT.

  Robinson Township and Coraopolis around 145 AM EDT.

  Kennedy Township, Stowe Township, Avalon, Emsworth, and Ben Avon 

  around 150 AM EDT.

  Pittsburgh, Ross Township, McCandless Township, Franklin Park, and 

  McKees Rocks around 155 AM EDT.

  Ingram around 200 AM EDT.



Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include

Pittsburgh International Airport, Ben Avon Heights, Sewickley

Heights, Collier Township, South Heights, Bell Acres, Glen Osborne, 

Haysville, Sewickley Hills, and Edgeworth. This storm has a history 

of producing a tornado. 



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest

floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a

mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter

and protect yourself from flying debris.
