The National Weather Service in Nashville has issued a



* Tornado Warning for...

  Southern Smith County in Middle Tennessee...

  Northeastern De Kalb County in Middle Tennessee...

  West central Putnam County in Middle Tennessee...



* Until 715 PM CDT.



* At 645 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado

  was located over Carthage, moving southeast at 40 mph.



  HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.



  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 

           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 

           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 

           damage is likely.



* This dangerous storm will be near...

  Gordonsville around 650 PM CDT.



Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Center

Hill Lake, Hickman, Edgar Evins State Park, and South Carthage.



This includes Interstate 40 between mile markers 256 and 281.
