Coastal Waters of Northern Puerto Rico out 10 NM... Coastal Waters of Northern USVI and Culebra out 10 NM... Coastal Waters of Southern USVI, Vieques, and Eastern Puerto Rico out 10 NM... At 937 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated areas of strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots over the coastal waters and passages mainly north and east of Puerto Rico and the USVI quickly moving southwest around 20 knots. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storm pass. Brief waterspouts will also continue to be possible with these strong thunderstorms.
