...A POTENTIAL WATERSPOUT OVER THE WATERS...

The areas affected include...
Gulf of Mexico from west end of Seven Mile Bridge to Halfmoon Shoal
out to 5 fathoms...
Gulf Waters from East Cape Sable to Chokoloskee 20 to 60 nm out and
beyond 5 fathoms...

At 753 PM EDT, doppler radar indicated a potential waterspout... 
This potential waterspout was located near Snipe Point, moving west 
at 15 knots.

Locations that will be affected include...
Snipe Point.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Prepare for thunderstorms with wind gusts of 15 to 20 knots, locally 
rough and confused seas, occasional lightning strikes, and 
potentially blinding downpours. Get to a safe port as quickly, and 
as safely as possible. When downpours reduce visibility, slow down.

Environmental conditions favor waterspout formation. A waterspout
would most likely appear beneath a dark, flat bottom of a building
cumulus line, just at the hint of rain. If you see a waterspout, stay
away, and call in the report to your Florida Keys National Weather
Service, at 3 0 5 2 9 5 1 3 1 6 extension 3.
