Through 8 am, scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will wax 
and wane over the island chain and its nearshore waters. These 
showers will move towards the east at 10 to 15 knots. Mariners 
encountering the stronger portions of this activity near the Middle 
and Upper Keys can expect pockets of moderate to heavy rainfall 
reducing visibilities, wind gusts up to 25 to 30 knots, and some 
lightning strikes. Island communities on the Upper and Middle Keys 
can expect up to an additional quarter to a half of an inch of rain.
