...River Statement For The Tennessee River at Florence...

Runoff from rainfall is expected to cause river levels to rise 
rapidly on the Tennessee River at Florence. Although it is not 
expected to reach flood stage, some nuisance flooding of lowlands 
may still occur. If additional rainfall occurs, the river could 
still reach Flood Stage.

The Tennessee River at Florence.
* At 5:45 AM CST Wednesday the stage was 14.0 feet.
* Action stage is 16.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise above 16.0 feet by early Friday 
  morning and eventually crest by Monday afternoon at 16.9 feet. It 
  will gradually fall early next week and remain below flood stage.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet...Flooding of McFarland Park begins.

All persons with interests along the river should monitor the latest 
forecasts, and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect 
life and property from rising river levels.Additional information is
