...River Statement For The Tennessee River at Whitesburg...

Runoff from rainfall is expected to cause river levels to rise 
rapidly on the Tennessee River. Although it is not expected to reach 
flood stage, some nuisance flooding of lowlands may still occur. If 
additional rainfall occurs, the river could still reach Flood Stage.

The Tennessee River at Whitesburg.
* At 3:30 AM CST Monday the stage was 15.1 feet.
* Action stage is 15.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to fall to 10.0 feet Monday 
  morning.
* Impact...At 14.0 feet...The river starts to cover ramps at the 
  Madison County Boat Harbor at Ditto Landing...as well as 
  pastureland near the river. Backwater from Aldridge Creek covers 
  part of the Ditto Landing Walking Trail. Water backs into sloughs 
  near the river.


All persons with interests along the river should monitor the latest 
forecasts, and be prepared to take necessary precautions to protect 
life and property from rising river levels.Additional information is
