Releases from Pueblo Reservoir Dam, along with current and 
forecasted flooding between Nepesta and La Junta, will keep river 
levels elevated along the Arkansas River from Pueblo to John Martin 
Reservoir over the next several days. Remain alert to changing 
conditions as rapidly rising river levels and swift flows can pose a 
hazard to those near waterways. Minor inundation of low-lying areas 
is also possible for some locations even below flood stage. Avoid 
driving through flooded roadways and heed road closures and other 
orders from local law enforcement. Remain alert to NOAA weather
