High temperatures will range from the upper 50s across the Northern and Western Mountains to the lower and middle 60s in the Central and Southern Valleys. The southwest corner of the state could reach 70 degrees this afternoon. Clouds will increase tonight with rain showers likely over the western half of the state by late Saturday morning. Rainfall Saturday will vary between 1 and 2 tenths of an inch across the Western Alleghenies to only a few hundredths of an inch across the the Lower Susquehanna Valleys and Southeast Piedmont. Lingering clouds and some patchy drizzle and light fog are possible Saturday night into Sunday. An afternoon thunderstorm could occur Sunday, with the best chance occurring over the Northern Mountains. A major warmup will follow for Sunday and Monday with summer-like temperatures and highs reaching into the 80s across the Commonwealth. $$
