This allowed temperatures to drop into the lower 30s to around 40 degrees. Other than high clouds passing overhead, mostly clear skies are expected for the rest of the night with high pressure in the vicinity. Low temperatures will be in the lower to middle 20s north, upper 20s to lower 30s south. As the high pressure moves into the eastern Great Lakes on Thursday, winds will shift to the southeast and pull warmer air into the region. Highs are expected to be around 50 degrees near Lake Michigan, middle 50s to around 60 degrees inland. Elevated fire concerns to continue on Thursday as afternoon humidity falls into the 20s to around 30 percent. Looking ahead, several rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected Friday night through the weekend. Stronger storms may be possible on Saturday. $$ Kallas
