Warmer today with temperatures warming expected to warm above 
freezing from the Twin Cities metro south. Southerly winds will be 
breezy across southern Minnesota with gusts up to 30 mph.

A system will impact the state this evening through Wednesday 
morning, bringing relatively light snowfall accumulations but very 
gusty northwest winds. Snowfall amounts of 4-6 inches are expected 
across northern Minnesota, decreasing to 1-3 inches across the 
central 1/3 of the state, and around 1 inch or less across southern 
Minnesota. Wind gusts in excess of 40 mph are likely tonight which 
will lead to areas of low visibility, and possibly near-whiteout 
conditions across western Minnesota.

Light snow could linger into Wednesday afternoon across northern and 
central Minnesota. Arctic air returns on Wednesday and remains in 
place through Friday, with hazardous hazardous wind chills expected.
