Southerly winds will be breezy across southern Minnesota with gusts up to 30 mph. A system will impact the state this evening through Wednesday morning, bringing relatively light snowfall accumulations but very gusty northwest winds. Snowfall amounts of 4-6 inches are expected across northern Minnesota, decreasing to 1-3 inches across the central 1/3 of the state, and around 1 inch or less across southern Minnesota. Wind gusts in excess of 40 mph are likely tonight which will lead to areas of low visibility, and possibly near-whiteout conditions across western Minnesota. Light snow could linger into Wednesday afternoon across northern and central Minnesota.
