This outlook applies to the following counties: In Southeast South Carolina: Allendale, Beaufort, Berkeley, Charleston, Colleton, Dorchester, Hampton and Jasper. In Southeast Georgia: Bryan, Bulloch, Candler, Chatham, Effingham, Evans, Jenkins, Liberty, Long, McIntosh, Screven and Tattnall. Including the following rivers: Edisto, Lower Santee, Ogeechee, Ohoopee, Savannah and Canoochee. Much of southeast South Carolina and southeast Georgia remains included in an area of Abnormally Dry conditions on the U.S. Drought Monitor. An area between Allendale County to Jasper County in South Carolina and portions of Jenkins County Georgia have been classified in Moderate Drought. The drought conditions have resulted in stream flow rates between 10 to 24 percent below normal across extreme southeast South Carolina. Little to no rainfall is expected through this weekend, a large storm system is forecast to bring light to moderate rain to the region late Monday night through Tuesday night. The 1 and 3 month precipitation outlooks from the Climate Prediction Center indicated a 30-40 percent chance of above normal rainfall. Based on these factors, the risk for river flooding during the next three months will be slightly above normal. The next Winter/Spring Flood Potential Outlook will be issued on 4 April 2019. $$ NED
