The following forecasts are for rivers in Southwest Lower Michigan...

For the Flat River near Smyrna...the latest stage was 6.1 feet at 10 
AM Tuesday. Developing river ice was observed constricting the flow of 
the river. No significant flooding is forecast. The river stage has 
dropped 0.3 feet in the past 24 hours. Flood stage is 8.5 feet. 

Safety message...Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Do not walk onto the ice over the river.
