.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.

Widely scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible late this 
afternoon and evening. A few storms may become strong to severe with
damaging winds and large hail possible, especially across the
northwest Piedmont and between 500 pm and 900 pm.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected on 
Wednesday into Thursday as a series of disturbances track through the
region. Some of these storms may become severe.

Hot temperatures and high humidity are expected Wednesday and 
Thursday, with heat index values peaking in the lower to mid 90s, 
leading to an elevated risk of heat-related illnesses.

Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected on 
Wednesday into Thursday as a series of disturbances track through the
region. Some of these storms may become severe.
