Dry and warmer conditions expected today as southerly winds develop and strengthen. A Small Craft Advisory goes into effect at noon today. Sustained winds around 10-12 knots with gusts to 20-25 knots at times this afternoon into tonight. Increasing tide levels today into tonight, with minor tidal flooding possible in vulnerable low-lying shorelines. A cold front reaches the area tonight bringing a chance of showers. Winds quickly turn northwest behind the front by early Wednesday afternoon. Sustained winds increase to around 11-13 knots, with gusts 17-21 knots through Wednesday late evening. High pressure builds into the area Thursday, bringing dry conditions and cooler temperatures. Winds remain elevated through Thursday morning, turning north to northeast, and sustained at 10-14 knots with gusts of 16-18 knots. Winds diminish below 10 knots late Thursday morning.
