General Situation  

A trough lies over Solomon Islands while a general easterly wind flow
persists south of trough.

Forecast for the Western Region (Western, Choiseul and Isabel provinces)

East to southeast winds at 10 to 20 knots with slight seas and low to
moderate southerly swells, reaching 25 knots with moderate to rough seas
over waters of western province. Scattered showers and thunderstorms with
rain areas. Further Outlook for Sunday: East to southeast  at 10 to 20 knots
with slight seas, reaching 25 knots with moderate seas and moderate
southerly swells over waters of Western province . 

Forecast for the Central Region (Malaita, Guadalcanal and Central provinces)

East to southeast winds at 15 to 20 knots with slight to moderate seas,
reaching 25 knots at times with moderate to rough seas and low to moderate
southerly swells. Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Further Outlook for
Sunday:  Southeast winds  at 10 to 20 knots, reaching 25 knots at times with
low to moderate southerly swells.

Forecast for the Eastern Region (Makira, Temotu and Rennell/Bellona
provinces)

East to southeast winds at 15 to 25 knots with moderate to rough seas and
moderate southerly swells. Scattered showers and thunderstorms. Further
Outlook for Sunday: Southeast winds at 15 to 25 knots and moderate southerly
swells. 

Forecast for Honiara port & surrounding areas   

Northeast to southeast winds at 05 to 15 knots with slight seas. Fine apart
from a few showers and isolated thunderstorms. Further Outlook for Sunday:
East to southeast winds at 10 to 20 knots.
