...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 500 AM CDT...

For the following areas...
Coastal waters from High Island to Freeport TX out 20 NM...
Galveston Bay...
Waters from High Island to Freeport TX from 20 to 60 NM...

At 439 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts
were located along a line extending from 9 nm northeast of Trinity
Bay to East Galveston Bay to near Offatts Bayou, moving northeast at
40 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts in excess of 65 knots.

SOURCE...Buoy.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 
         hazardous seas. Boats could suffer significant structural 
         damage in high winds. Small craft could capsize in suddenly 
         higher waves.

Galveston Bay Entrance, Galveston Bay, Burnet Bay, Offatts Bayou,
Galveston Pier 21, Trinity Bay, High Island 157, Galveston Causeway,
Mitchell Bay, High Island 63, Crystal Bay, East Galveston Bay,
Galveston Ship Channel, West Bay, Upper San Jacinto Bay, Scott Bay,
Buoy 42035, Tabbs Bay, North Jetty, and Galveston 150.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
