NZUS56 KEKA 012207 WRKCWF 8/01/16 22Z .Long Term Discussion... .AVIATION...Virtually cloudless skies across northern ca this afternoon showing up on vis imagery. The only clouds too play any impact on flights would be the blanket of stratus that is just off the Mendocino coast and southward to the Bay area. Given the current conditions expecting vfr to continue across all areas through the evening hours. After around 6z expect some of the coastal stratus and fog to draw or form into the coastal sites again with generally mvfr and brief periods of ifr through the early morning hours before dissipating again late tomorrow morning hours. .MARINE...The pressure gradient across the coastal waters remains fairly strong due to strong heating across the CA interior. For the inner waters sustained winds have been behaving with occasional stronger gusts during the afternoon and evenings but the main problem has been the short period fresh swell that continues to migrate from the west toward the coast line. The outer waters are a little trickier. Have maintained the Gale warning there but scatterometer passes do not indicate a true gale event with only a few gusts to 35 showing up. The gusty winds are expected to persist through the week....while short period N waves around 9 to 12 feet or so, highest on the outside waters continue. .FIRE WEATHER...
