...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM MDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast New Mexico, including the following 
  county, Chaves.

* WHEN...Until 800 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying 
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water 
  crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 322 PM MDT, Local law enforcement reported heavy rain in
    the warned area due to Runoff from overnight heavy rainfall
    from thunderstorms. Flooding is already occurring.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Hagerman.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become 
unstable and unsafe.
