...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 215 AM CST FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of the Panhandle of Texas, including the 
  following counties, Collingsworth, Donley, Gray and Wheeler.

* WHEN...Until 215 AM CST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is 
  occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 412 PM CST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
    indicated moderate rain due to rain showers and
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Wellington, Shamrock, Briscoe, Wheeler, Mclean, Hedley,
    Dodson, Lela, Dozier, Samnorwood, Twitty, Lutie, Kellerville,
    Quail, New Mobeetie, Lelia Lake, Allison and Mobeetie.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
