STORM FORCE WIND WARNING FOR NORTH EASTERN AREA

SITUATION
At 0600 UTC Tropical Cyclone Lucas was centred within 30 nautical miles of
 latitude thirteen decimal nine south (13.9S)
 longitude one hundred and fifty three decimal one east (153.1E)
Recent movement : east at 7 knots
Maximum winds   : 35 knots
Central pressure: 994 hPa

AREA AFFECTED
Within 120 nautical miles in NE quadrant
  and within 60 nautical miles in SE quadrant
  and within 60 nautical miles in SW quadrant
  and within 120 nautical miles in NW quadrant.

FORECAST
Maximum winds to 35 knots near the centre increasing to 50 knots by 1800 UTC 31
January.

From 1800 UTC 31 January winds increasing above 48 knots within 45 nautical
miles of centre with very rough seas and moderate swell.

At 1800 UTC 31 January: Within 60 nautical miles of 13.8 south 155.7 east
                        Central pressure 989 hPa.
                        Winds to 50 knots near centre.
