GALE WARNING FOR SOUTHERN AND SOUTHEASTERN AREAS

SITUATION AT 0000UTC
Vigorous southwesterly flow associated with a low 979hPa near 58S142E. Forecast
low 985hPa near 56S146E at 290600UTC, low 992hPa near 54S151E at 291200UTC, low
1000hPa near 52S155E at 291800UTC and decaying thereafter.

AREA AFFECTED
Bounded by 47S140E 43S149E 50S155E 60S138E 60S135E 55S133E 47S140E.

FORECAST
Clockwise winds within 420nm in the northwestern quarter of low, expanding to
within 660nm in the northwestern quarter by 290600UTC. Wind speeds 35/45 knots.
Very rough to high seas. Moderate to heavy swell.
