GALE WARNING FOR SOUTHERN AREA

SITUATION AT 1200UTC
Vigorous flow due to cold front 56S137E to low 962hPa near 60S142E. Forecast
cold front 56S148E 59S150E to low 951hPa near 61S150E at 121800UTC, cold front
56S155E 60S160E to low 951hPa near 62S157E at 130000UTC, and cold front 56S159E
58S162E 61S162E to low 951hPa near 62S160E at 130300UTC before moving east of
the area.

AREA AFFECTED
Bounded by 58S125E 54S132E 54S160E 62S160E 60S130E 58S125E.

FORECAST
Northwesterly quarter east of front, shifting westerly quarter winds west of
front and turning clockwise within 120nm of low. Wind speeds 34/47 knots
throughout most of the area initially, contracting to within 240nm of front by
122100UTC. Winds associated with cold front easing below 34 knots throughout
area by 130600UTC. Very rough to high seas. Moderate to heavy swell.
