The Flathead Avalanche Center in Hungry Horse has issued a BACKCOUNTRY
AVALANCHE WATCH for the following areas: 

NWS Missoula MT - 
MTC 029 (Flathead County)...MTC 047 (Lake County)...MTC 053 (Lincoln County)

* WHAT...The avalanche danger will rise to HIGH tomorrow.  Large to Very
Large avalanches are expected tomorrow afternoon with rising temperatures.

* WHERE...Slopes above 5,000' in the Flathead, Swan and Whitefish Ranges, as
well as Glacier National Park.

* WHEN...In effect from Thu 08:04 MDT to Fri 08:04 MDT.

* IMPACTS...Rising temperatures will likely cause widespread areas of
unstable snow.

* PRECAUTIONARY / PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Very dangerous avalanche conditions
are expected tomorrow. Travel in avalanche terrain is not recommended.
Avalanches may run long distances and can run into mature forests, valley
floors, or flat terrain.
