...The Gallatin National Forest Avalanche Center in Bozeman has
ISSUED a BACKCOUNTRY AVALANCHE WARNING which is in effect until 
4:47 AM Thursday...

* WHAT...The avalanche danger for the warning area is rated HIGH
  on all slopes. Human-triggered and natural avalanches are
  likely.

* WHERE...The mountains around Cooke City, the Lionhead area near
  West Yellowstone, and Island Park, ID.

* WHEN...In effect from Wed 04:47 MST to Thu 04:47 MST.

* IMPACTS...A foot of snow has fallen in the last 24 hours with
  blustery wind. The snowpack is weak and the new snow and wind-
  loading are creating very dangerous avalanche conditions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Very dangerous avalanche conditions. Travel in avalanche terrain
is not recommended. Avalanches may run long distances and can run
into mature forests, valley floors, or flat terrain.
