DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 700 AM CHST...2100 UTC...the center of Typhoon Haikui was
located near Latitude 22.2 degrees North and Longitude
129.6 degrees East. Haikui is moving west at 10 mph. It is
expected to make a slight turn toward the west-northwest with
little change in forward speed through Saturday.

Maximum sustained winds remain at 75 mph. Haikui is forecast to
intensify through Saturday.

Typhoon force winds extend outward from the center up to 65 miles
to the southeast and up to 25 miles elsewhere. Tropical storm
force winds extend outward from the center up to 110 miles.
