...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 3 PM MONDAY TO 3 PM AKST
TUESDAY...

The National Weather Service in Juneau has issued a Winter Storm
Warning...which is in effect from 3 PM Monday to 3 PM AKST
Tuesday. The Winter Storm Watch is no longer in effect. 

* LOCATION...Prince of Wales Island and southern inner channels.

* SNOW...6 to 14 inches snow possible. Snowfall rates in heavier
  snow showers could exceed 2 inches per hour. Best accumulations
  southern half of Prince of Wales Island. Amounts will highly
  vary form location to location. 

* TIMING...Snow expected to begin Monday afternoon Southern Prince
  of Wales spreading across the area Monday night...then
  diminishing Tuesday afternoon.


* IMPACTS...Travel will be difficult. Snow will be less wet than
  usual. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A warning means that a winter storm is already occurring or
imminent. This storm could pose a threat to life and property.

Powdery snow will accumulate quickly.

This statement will be updated by 7 am AKST Monday or sooner if 
conditions warrant.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

An advisory means dangerous wind chill temperatures are already
occurring or imminent.

Exposed skin in the advisory area will become frostbitten in
30 minutes.
