The National Weather Service in Gray Maine has issued a

* Snow Squall Warning for...
  Lincoln County in south central Maine...
  East central Cumberland County in southwestern Maine...
  Sagadahoc County in south central Maine...

* Until 430 PM EST.

* At 349 PM EST, a dangerous snow squall was located along a line
  extending from 9 miles southeast of Augusta to near Topsham, moving
  east at 20 mph.

  HAZARD...Flash freeze on roads. Intense bursts of heavy snow. 
           Gusty winds leading to blowing snow and visibility 
           rapidly falling to less than one-quarter mile. Wind gusts 
           up to 35 mph.

  SOURCE...Radar and webcams.

  IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous 
           within minutes.

This includes Interstate 295 between mile markers 26 and 42.

Brunswick, Bath, Damariscotta, Topsham, Wiscasset, Freeport, Bristol,
Georgetown, Bremen, Woolwich, Warren, Harpswell, Boothbay, Bowdoin,
Bowdoinham, Jefferson, Dresden, Edgecomb, Alna, and Arowsic.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Wet roadways will quickly freeze. Black ice will cause roads,
bridges, and overpasses to become slick and dangerous. Slow down and
be prepared for a sudden loss of traction.

Slow Down! Rapid changes in visibility and road conditions are
expected with this dangerous snow squall. Be alert for sudden
whiteout conditions.
