The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a

* Snow Squall Warning for...
  Southwestern Dolores County in southwestern Colorado...
  Northwestern Montezuma County in southwestern Colorado...
  Southeastern San Juan County in southeastern Utah...

* Until 1030 AM MST.

* At 959 AM MST, a dangerous snow squall was located along a line
  extending from 14 miles north of Dolores to 16 miles northwest of
  Cortez to 6 miles west of White Mesa, moving southeast at 30 mph.

  HAZARD...Intense bursts of heavy snow. Gusty winds leading to 
           blowing snow and visibility rapidly falling to less than 
           one-quarter mile. Wind gusts greater than 35 mph.

  SOURCE...Radar and webcams.

  IMPACT...Travel will become difficult and potentially dangerous 
           within minutes.

This includes the following highways...
 U.S. Highway 191 in Utah between mile markers 20 and 41.
 U.S. Highway 163 in Utah between mile markers 34 and 41.
 U.S. Highway 491 in Colorado between mile markers 28 and 46.
 Utah 162 between mile markers 0 and 13.
 Colorado 145 between mile markers 2 and 12.

Locations impacted include...
Cortez, Dolores, White Mesa, Bluff, Montezuma Creek, Tselakai Dezza,
Lebanon, Hovenweep National Monument, Lewis, Arriola, and Yellow
Jacket.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Slow Down! Rapid changes in visibility and road conditions are
expected with this dangerous snow squall. Be alert for sudden
whiteout conditions.
