...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN CONTRA COSTA COUNTY
THROUGH 600 PM PDT...

At 526 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near 
Brentwood, or 7 miles south of Antioch, moving northeast at 20 mph. 
This storm has a history of producing lightning and pea sized hail.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Antioch, Oakley, Brentwood, Discovery Bay, Byron, Knightsen, and
Bethel Island.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 

Storms will be capable of producing large quantities of accumulating
hail, which can make for slick and hazardous driving conditions. Slow
down, and use caution if driving.
