...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 PM CDT THIS 
AFTERNOON FOR GREER, NORTHERN HARMON, NORTHEASTERN JACKSON AND 
SOUTHWESTERN KIOWA COUNTIES...

At 151 PM CDT, Up to 4 inches of rain fell earlier in the day around 
Mangum and Blair, with up to 2 inches over a larger area of 
southwest Oklahoma. Although there have not been reports of any 
flooding, it is likely that flooding of poor drainage and low lying 
areas is occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Mangum, Granite, Blair, Martha, Willow, Friendship, Altus Air 
  Force Base, Warren, Vinson, Hester, Brinkman and Altus-Lugert Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where 
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become 
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or 
creeks.
