...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 PM CDT THIS 
AFTERNOON FOR SOUTHEASTERN KENT AND SOUTHWESTERN STONEWALL 
COUNTIES...

At 512 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated showers and thunderstorms 
were diminishing over the warned area. Additional rainfall amounts 
of 0.1 to 0.5 inches are possible, generally over southwest 
Stonewall County. Flash flooding is still possible from runoff 
following the earlier heavy rainfall.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by showers and thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Clairemont, Peacock and Swenson.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not 
drive on flooded roads.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are 
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded 
roads. Find an alternate route.
