...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM EDT SUNDAY FOR 
AMHERST, NORTHWESTERN APPOMATTOX, NORTHWESTERN CAMPBELL, BEDFORD, 
EAST CENTRAL BOTETOURT AND SOUTH CENTRAL ROCKBRIDGE COUNTIES AND THE 
CITY OF LYNCHBURG AND THE SOUTHWESTERN CITY OF BUENA VISTA...

At 1116 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain 
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are 
possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected 
to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
