The National Weather Service in Hanford has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Eastern Fresno County in central California...
  North Central Tulare County in central California...

* Until 745 PM PDT.

* At 621 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain 
  has fallen. Additional rainfall rates of 0.5 inches an hour is 
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected 
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Roaring River Ranger Station, Pear Lake Ranger Station, Marble 
  Fork Kaweah, Mitchell Meadow, Bearpaw Ranger Station, Moraine 
  Campground, Canyon View Campground, Sentinel Campground, Cedar 
  Grove and Sheep Creek Campground.

This includes the following streams and drainages...
  Middle Fork Kaweah River, Lewis Creek, Ferguson Creek, Lone Pine 
  Creek, Lightning Creek, Granite Creek, Roaring River, Big Arroyo, 
  Boulder Creek, Cabin Creek, Sphinx Creek, Cunningham Creek, Kern 
  River, Silliman Creek, Buck Creek, South Fork Kings River, Marble 
  Fork Kaweah River, Stony Creek, Sheep Creek, East Creek, Sugarloaf 
  Creek, Cliff Creek, Brewer Creek and Moraine Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become 
unstable and unsafe.
