* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern Archuleta County in southwestern Colorado...
  Southwestern Hinsdale County in southwestern Colorado...
  East Central La Plata County in southwestern Colorado...

* Until 715 PM MDT.

* At 411 PM MDT, Doppler radar and satellite data indicated 
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area to the 
  northeast of Vallecito. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to 
  begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  mainly rural areas of Northwestern Archuleta, Southwestern 
  Hinsdale and East Central La Plata Counties. This includes County 
  Road 501 northeast of Vallecito.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
