The National Weather Service in Des Moines  has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Hardin County in central Iowa...
  North central Marshall County in central Iowa...
  Southwestern Grundy County in central Iowa...

* Until 945 PM CDT.

* At 345 PM CDT, Hardin County Emergency Management reported some 
  roads were washed out near Whitten. Doppler radar shows that parts 
  of the area have received 2 to 4 inches of rain already. Localized 
  flash flooding is already occurring or is expected to begin 
  shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Eldora, Hubbard, Union, Steamboat Rock, Liscomb, New Providence, 
  Whitten, Buckeye, Owasa, Pine Lake State Park, Iowa Falls 
  Municipal Airport and Eldora Municipal Airport.

Additional rainfall amounts of an inch to two inches are possible 
over parts of the warned area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
