The National Weather Service in Quad Cities has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern Henry IA County in southeastern Iowa...
  Central Jefferson County in southeastern Iowa...

* Until 715 AM CDT Sunday.

* At 108 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 4 inches of rain 
  have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are 
  possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected 
  to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Fairfield, Wayland, Lockridge, Maharishi Vedic City, Packwood, 
  Rome, Pleasant Plain, Salina, Beckwith, Perlee, East Pleasant 
  Plain, Germanville, Mac Coon Access, Merrimac, Fairfield Municipal 
  Airport, Jefferson County Park, Jefferson County Fairgrounds and 
  Trenton.

This includes the following streams and drainages...
Brush Creek, Walnut Creek, Rock Creek, Sugar Creek, Williams Creek, 
Honey Creek, Wolf Creek, Burr Oak Creek, Crow Creek, Jones Branch, 
Rocky Branch, Mitchell Creek and Troy Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.
