The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern Jo Daviess County in northwestern Illinois...
  Dubuque County in northeastern Iowa...
  Northeastern Jones County in east central Iowa...
  Southeastern Delaware County in northeastern Iowa...

* Until 300 AM CDT.

* At 903 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area, with 
  additional rounds of heavy rain moving in from the south and west. 
  Up to one inch of rain has already fallen at the Dubuque Airport. 
  Expect flooding of low lying areas, urban areas, streams and 
  creeks to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Dubuque, Galena, Asbury, Dyersville, Monticello, Cascade, Epworth,
  East Dubuque, Farley, Peosta, Hopkinton, Delhi, Worthington,
  Menominee, Rickardsville, Sherrill, Council Hill, Centralia,
  Sageville and Bernard.

Additional rainfall amounts of one to two inches are possible in the 
warned area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
