The National Weather Service in Des Moines  has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Poweshiek County in central Iowa...
  Northeastern Marion County in south central Iowa...
  Northern Mahaska County in south central Iowa...
  Southeastern Jasper County in central Iowa...

* Until 330 PM CDT.

* At 1106 AM CDT, emergency management reported thunderstorms 
  producing heavy rain across the warned area. A widespread 2 to 4 
  inches of rain have fallen over this area overnight. Flash 
  flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Pella, Montezuma, Brooklyn, New Sharon, Victor, Sully, Lynnville,
  Malcom, Deep River, Barnes City, Leighton, Searsboro, Hartwick,
  Guernsey and Pella Municipal Airport.

Additional rainfall amounts of over 1 inch is possible in the warned 
area.

This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 187 and 204.
 
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
