The National Weather Service in Hastings has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Jewell County in north central Kansas...

* Until 415 AM CDT Monday.

* At 1014 PM CDT, law enforcement reported thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain has led to multiple road closures and waters flowing 
  over roads in the warned area. Two to four inches of rain have 
  fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Law enforcement.

  IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, 
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other 
           drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Mankato, Jewell, Burr Oak, Esbon, Formoso, Ionia, Randall, Webber,
  Lovewell State Park and Montrose.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
