The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has extended 
the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Cabarrus County in the piedmont of North Carolina...

* Until 1000 PM EST.

* At 538 PM EST, Excessive runoff will continue across the Rocky 
  River basin into the evening hours.  Flooding and high water 
  conditions will linger if not worsen across the Rocky River proper 
  and select tributaries such as Back and Mallard Creeks, as well as 
  Coddle, Irish Buffalo, Coldwater and Dutch Buffalo Creeks.  High 
  water conditions across greater Concord and Kannapolis will slowly 
  recede as the evening wears on.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
