* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Anson County in central North Carolina...
  Montgomery County in central North Carolina...
  Moore County in central North Carolina...
  Richmond County in central North Carolina...
  Stanly County in central North Carolina...

* Until 730 PM EST.

* At 544 PM EST, thunderstorms producing heavy rain of 2 and 3 
  inches have caused flash flooding in portions of the area. Some 
  additional moderate showers may produce rainfall amounts up to 1 
  inch. Creeks around Albemarle continue to rise, and the Rocky 
  River is starting to rise very rapidly.  Flash flooding will 
  continue to be a threat this evening.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Albemarle,  Rockingham, Wadesboro, Troy, Biscoe, Ansonville, 
  Hoffman, Plyler, Polkton, Locust, Norwood, Badin, Oakboro and 
  Stanfield.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
