* At 701 PM EST, thunderstorms producing heavy rain resulted in 1 
  and 2.5 inches of rain this afternoon. Many creeks and streams are 
  still rising and flash flood will continue to pose a threat this 
  evening.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

  Durham, Chapel Hill, Burlington, Graham, Roxboro, Hillsborough, 
  Pittsboro, Siler City, Carrboro, Mebane, Butner, Goldston,
